Not all that long ago, a large wave came by and knocked away part of the docks. As a result, they closed off that part of the docks. The residents who have boats here often complain about it and want it fixed, but for some reason or another, it never gets done. Be warned though. It's really unstable. Wandering out past the barriers is a good way to get yourself hurt.
